Ukraine: Frontline in Information Warfare

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine exemplified the importance and capability that a well-developed understanding of information operations can have.

Reality has indeed become a battleground, and I don’t think the field of political science, much less the world, is prepared for that when it comes to national security implications. In this domain of warfare, nations are rarely rational actors. Guess we will see how the crisis in Ukraine continues, but one thing is clear: Vladimir Putin is a clever manipulator of information in a very novel way. If I wanted to alter the influence of American democracy, I would be taking notes right now.
