I stumbled upon an article written about Johnny Cash and Bruce Springsteen. Its fascinating to see how people, especially two I would call my personal heroes, are subtly connected.
Their names may only be rarely associated together, but their music and lyrics make it clear that both artists share something magical: a unique ability to sing about their true selves, the world they live in with all its pain and joy, and aspects of life that everyone will experience at one time or another.
I’m glad I found this article. I also never knew that Bruce wrote a handwritten letter to Cash following the release of his 1995 album, The Ghost of Tom Joad!
