4/19/21 150809 Notes: China/Russia using Facebook to influence spread of damaging conspiracy theories. Information warfare is occuring, the scale of which has never been seen or possible. When we discuss security awareness, we talk about changing thinking, to change behaviors, to change outcomes. That needs to occur with information on the internet in general. If you didn’t use the internet, you wouldn’t know about conspiracy theories that continue to be propelled by foriegn adversaries whose motivation is clear: create internal strife and thrive upon gullibility. Still use the internet, but change your thinking (you absolutely don’t need to be on Facebook, though). No country borders and very little jurisdiction on the internet. Know that.
